UNEXPECTED VACANCY

Unexpected Vacancy at BETTWS LIFEHOUSE      NOW FILLED          THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST

A vacancy has arisen (due to a change in circumstance) for a very special kind of person! This post is to work mainly with a very challenging young person (aged 11) who is on the autistic spectrum. You would be team teaching alongside another experienced member of The Lifehouse. However, you would be expected to take the lead in planning activities, using your imagination and energy to capture the young persons interest and engagement. Ideally suited to someone with teaching experience although we can see a scenario where formal qualification is not the priority. The successful candidate would need to have the resilience to cope when planned activities are rejected, and challenging behaviour pushes boundaries. You will be able to manage a budget and resource objective led planning.

Initially the post is for 1 ½ days per week (term time) but this could quickly extend if the candidate proves to be particularly skillful.
Salary according to experience.

If you think you are (or know) this unique individual then please do get in touch ASAP. Post to start in September. Please feel free to share.
